Whippet - Designer Decals

Two conflicting theories exist over the origins of the Whippet. One theory supports a breed that dates to ancient Rome and Egypt. Evidence can be found in paintings, tapestries and artifacts that support the existence of a small type of Greyhound, with the Whippet's particularly rose shaped ear. There is quite a lot of evidence to support this theory. The second theory is that the Whippet resulted from North English coal miners crossing small Greyhounds with Terriers during the 18th and 19th centuries. Whichever theory is correct will have to remain shrouded in mystery.
